Licensed since 2001 John Spurrier joined Cummings & Co. Realtors in 2016 after being impressed with the company’s business model, standards of integrity & professionalism, investment in technology and the brokerage’s local ownership.
Recognizing that at any given time his clients are engaging in one of the largest financial transactions of their lives Spurrier draws upon his extensive knowledge of the region and a wide range of professional contacts to ensure they make informed, sound decisions.
A longtime Charles Village resident John Spurrier has strong roots in the community. He serves on the board of the Charles Village Civic Association and has previously served on boards of the Friends of Wyman Park Dell, the Charles Village Community Benefits District and the Greater Homewood Community Corporation. A monthly block party Spurrier started in 2017 evolved to become the Charles Village Music Series offering dozens of outdoor events each year at venues such as Peabody Heights Brewery, Waverly Commons, the Wyman Park Dell and the Village Learning Place.
Prior to becoming a realtor Spurrier worked for the Baltimore Blast, the Maryland Lottery and as a professional DJ. He is a graduate of Loyola University’s Sellinger School of Business where he obtained an MBA with a concentration in marketing.
Spurrier and his wife Odette Ramos live in the Abell community of Charles Village with their daughter Teresa who attends Baltimore City Public Schools. Personal interests include music of all genres especially that of the West Indies: reggae, soca, calypso and steel pan, travel to the Caribbean and Latin America, hiking, biking and kayaking.

The Veterans Administration (VA) needed a plethora of information from the HOA before they would approve the loan. Nataliya was able to track all that down and stay a step ahead of the VA. This facilitated a quick closing so we were in the house before I started my new job.
Nataliya didn't stop there though. We knew we wanted to fix up a few things in the house before our furniture arrived. She had a contractor in the house literally the day we closed preparing to clear items off the home inspection list (the cost of which was covered by concessions she negotiated with the seller), new carpets went in the next day, and she recommended a cleaning service so everything was spotless when our moving truck pulled up.
