Dave Cummings

Dave Cummings founded Cummings & Co. Realtors and currently serves as broker for the company. He singlehandedly founded the company in 2006 and has held every position since its inception, including broker, accountant, agent, contract review, and cleaning crew.  Dave leads Cummings & Co. Realtors to continuous growth and real estate market share as the broker for the Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, District of Columbia, and Virginia regions.  From an early age, Dave’s strong sense of entrepreneurism led him to early success with his one-man neighborhood lawn cutting and snow removal business. He even owned his own snowball stand at the age of 8.

In the mid-2000s, Dave saw a need in the Maryland residential brokerage market for a strong, locally owned company with a fee structure that made sense for today’s technology-based world. He strives to create an encouraging work environment that gives his associates the tools and opportunities for greater professional and financial success; such as utilizing technology to decrease an agent’s costs, providing an inviting, modern office space in multiple locations and offers the benefits of a large corporate company with the small team feel.

Known as an agent’s broker, Dave does not compete with his agents, but focuses on ways to better assist and grow each sales associate’s business. Cummings & Co. Realtors is well-respected in the industry and was named Baltimore Sun’s #1 Large Size Top Workplace in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023  #1 Midsize Top Workplace in 2018 and 2016, and #2 in 2019 and 2017. The Baltimore Sun also awarded Dave with the Leadership Honor in 2016.

Initially based on Canton Square in downtown Baltimore, Cummings & Co. Realtors has grown exponentially with eleven top-notch locations and over 650 Sales Associates on his team. Office locations include: Canton, Roland Park, Bel Air, Ruxton, Timonium, Perry Hall, Columbia, Federal Hill, Shrewsbury PA, Westminster, Millersville.

A native of Towson, Dave graduated from Loyola Blakefield High School and Towson University. When not working, Dave enjoys time with his daughter, Lucia and son, Blake. He is passionate about aviation, and as a private pilot, he owns a 1955 Cessna and holds a seaplane rating.
